As with all DMV products and services we offer, North Carolina ELT provides electronic lien and title service at the most reasonable cost to you.

The cost to process each lien notification is $3.00 (three dollars) and the cost to print or release a lien is $1.50, excluding state gateway provider fees (see below).

The NC DMV mandates a Gateway Provider fee for the transfer of each lien from the DMV to your account within the North Carolina ELT system. This state mandated fee is $2.84 for each lien that is processed. This fee is passed through to the DMV's Gateway Provider by USA ELT on your behalf.

The corresponding transaction amount is charged when the DMV sends the lien notification to our electronic lien and title system, or when you request a title print or lien release using our system..
